What we do, how a job runs from the first call to the final coat of paint, and where our crews work.
Our crewWhat we do
Our crews handle the whole of a water, fire or mold loss in New York homes and buildings: stopping the source, extracting water, drying walls and floors to a measured standard, cleaning soot and smoke, removing mold inside containment, and then rebuilding what had to come out. We answer the phone around the clock, because most of this work starts at an inconvenient hour.
Most of our jobs are in multi-unit buildings, where a leak or a fire rarely stays in one apartment. That shapes how we work: a separate record for every unit, the super and the managing agent kept informed, and paperwork that each owner’s insurer can use. It also shapes what we care about in the materials: old plaster, strip oak and original trim are dried and repaired in place wherever the readings allow.

Rebuild servicesHow a job runs
A person answers, day or night, and asks where the water or smoke is now.
The crew stops or confirms the source is off and checks power and access.
Meters and a thermal camera show how far the damage goes.
Water comes out, soot is cleaned by type, and drying runs to a number.
Once readings match the dry reference, walls, floors and finishes go back.
Where we work
Our crews work out of the service office at 31 W 100th St, New York, NY 10025, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. That is where calls are dispatched from, and it is why most of our work is in the five boroughs and the counties just outside them.
Our head office is at 584 Consaulus Ave., Suite C, Schenectady, NY 12306. You can reach both on the same number, (332) 220-0870, at any hour.
We work across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, and in Westchester County, Yonkers and Nassau County. See the NYC area we cover, including where our coverage stops.
Who writes our articles
Phyllis edits our articles, which answer the questions we hear most on the phone. Each one is written from our crews’ job notes and links the public sources behind every figure.
